New Super Ferrari rewrites brand history. A thousand-dollar hypersport can handle 200 km / h in 6.7 seconds

Maybe you wouldn't say it, but LaFerrari has been 7 years old, so Ferrari has been working hard on the successor in the meantime. His name is SF90 Stradale and the Italian car manufacturer is just introducing it to us. The new hypersport within the internal hierarchy is somewhere between the F8 Tributo and the aforementioned LaFerrari.

If you ask for a name that is truly complicated again, the things are as follows: SF90 bears the latest Ferrari F1, which, in conjunction with the Italian term Stradale, means that it is a kind of SF90 for ordinary roads.

By the way, SF is, of course, an abbreviation for Scuderia Ferrari, but in this case, the Super Ferrari connection began to spread in public. And what does it bring?

The design itself is very modern and very sophisticated, for which the design director Ferrari, Flavio Manzoni, can do. Especially untypical is the front part, which stands out from the usual shapes of the brand of recent years. The two-color bodywork also impresses in the back, where both sides of the hypersport are visually linked by a connecting element. Each detail of the body is subject to strict aerodynamic criteria, so the individual openings are fully functional and channel the body airflow.

As standard, the SF90 Stradale is fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires, in the case of the Assetto Fiorano optional package, which also adds a larger rear spoiler or additional carbon components, but Michelin Cup 2 tires cover the discs.

The interior is in a very minimalist style - almost all the controls are directly integrated into the steering wheel, while all the displays are in charge of the fully digital instrument panel. For the first time, a heads-up display is also used in Ferrari.

Most importantly, the SF90 Stradale is the most powerful, technically advanced and fastest accelerating Ferrari serial ever in the brand's history. To make matters worse, the news is also the first plug-in hybrid of the brand.

As you can guess, one, but four engines do not care for the drive. At the heart of this is a supercharged 3.9-liter V8 with 574 kW / 780 hp and 800 Nm. Although this is a breathtaking figure, it is still a weak coffee for hyper sports of the present day, so three electric motors are coming to the scene.

Two are located at the front (on each wheel), where they are, of course, used to drive only the front wheels, while the third is located at the rear, specifically between the eight-cylinder and the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The energy comes from a 7.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, making it an ideal 26-kilometer drive for pure electric propulsion.

Of course, in the SF90, electric motors are of paramount importance to help a conventional aggregate, which in turn means that the overall system output is exactly 735 kW / 1,000 horsepower. The maximum hyper-sporting speed is 341 km / h, but acceleration is even more original: from 0–100 km / h, the SF90 Stradale can fire in 2.5 seconds, while the two-track is just 6.7 seconds!

Note that the new Ferrari jewel weighs only 1,570 kilograms, and uses braking energy recovery in addition to hydraulic brakes, and a torque vectoring system on the front axle.

It is interesting to note that the SF90 Stradale will not be limited by the number of pieces produced, although it is clear that there will be limits. The first customers will receive the news at the beginning of 2020. Prices have not yet been officially communicated, but at least CZK 15 million is being discussed.
